Tamarisk is a Grade II listed traditional cottage built in the 1860’s in an idyllic position with access to the beach just a few steps away and only a few minutes’ walk to the harbour and village centre.

Located in a quiet road – which is also the coast path – just a few yards from the steps leading to Porthleven beach, Tamarisk sleeps four in a double bedroom and a twin bedroom.  A very attractive small shower room with heated towel rail completes the first floor accommodation. 

The ground floor comprises a comfortable lounge with a log burner, TV with Freeview and DVD player. There is a good sized, very well equipped kitchen/diner with double oven, microwave, fridge, freezer and washing machine. Wifi is also provided.  Additional heating is by electric panel heaters in all rooms.

At the rear of the cottage is a lovely sheltered decked area with table and chairs, perfect for enjoying a leisurely breakfast as it catches the morning sun.  There is an enclosed courtyard at the front which enjoys sun for most of the day, again with a table and chairs so you can sit and watch the world go by.

A travel cot and highchair are provided and all heating, electricity, bedding and towels are included. 

Tamarisk is the perfect choice for couples or a family with the beach – which is lifeguard patrolled in the main season – so close to the cottage.  There is an excellent family pub which does very good food just a short stroll away and a few minutes walk will take you down into the village and harbour with a superb choice of places to eat.  A few minutes in the other direction will take you along the coast path, with magnificent coastal views, to Loe Bar and the beautiful Penrose Estate with some lovely circular walks.

Tamarisk is in close proximity to KozyKot, Tom’s Cottage, Sea Cottage and Compass Cottage thus making it an ideal choice for families who wish to holiday together but retain their own private space.

Please note:  As with a lot of traditional cottages, the stairs in Tamarisk are quite steep.
