Sitting on the harbour front, One Mackerel Cottage‘s laid back luxury makes the perfect getaway. Enjoy the ever-changing harbour views from this cottage’s light, airy first floor living area with everything on hand for a relaxing stay.

From the front door, stroll around the harbour taking in Porthleven’s enticing selection of specialist shops, cafes, award winning restaurants, pubs and on to glorious coastal walks and beaches.

The light filled open plan living space with vaulted ceiling occupies the entire first floor, taking advantage of the harbour views.

The sitting and reading spaces are beautifully furnished with a corner sofa, easy chairs and writing table overlooking the harbour.

Technology includes UHD smart television, media player with Airplay, iPod/mp3 dock and internet radio.  The cottage benefits from fast fibre broadband, providing both wired and Wi-Fi connections for your devices.

At the far end of the living space is the fully equipped kitchen with built in oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washer/dryer. The kitchen island provides the perfect perch for a snack or cuppa whilst gazing out over the historic harbour scene.

The large dining table comfortably seats six, ideal for special meals or maybe a board game or two.  

Head down to the three bedrooms with the comfiest of beds to fall into after a day of exploring. Needless to say, luxury bedlinen and fluffy towels come as standard.

The master bedroom has a super-king Vi-spring bed. The stunning bespoke headboard, oak framed fitted wardrobes and mirrored dressing table give a sense of lightness and relaxation. Technology includes a mirror television and media player with Airplay. French doors lead onto the private patio with table and chairs for an alfresco breakfast or simply lazing the day away.

The twin bedroom has individual full-length John Lewis beds which can also be configured as a super-king on request (this should be requested on booking). Steamer trunk side tables, local photographic art and coastal soft furnishings complement the harbour location.

The single bedroom is a haven of cosiness with its full-length bed to stretch out tired limbs after a day walking. Underfloor heating gives a snug welcome even in the coldest of nights.

Take a long relaxing soak in the bath with its own TV or step into the large shower (perfect for dealing with sandy toes). Fluffy towels keep warm on the large heated towel rail.

There is a handy separate cloakroom.

The cottage has underfloor heating throughout with individual room thermostats.

1 Mackerel Cottage has its own parking to the front, a rare commodity in this harbourside location. To the rear is a peaceful sheltered patio with table and chairs.

We welcome children over five years.
